【桃】あかつき ３㎏（8ｰ10個） ＜ 8月初旬頃の限定品♬＞ Peach "Akatsuki"

かつて福島県で桃を栽培していた農家が、白鳳と白桃の交配によってつくりあげたことで広まった品種で、お盆の時期に旬を迎えます。
”あかつき”という品種名の由来は、福島県福島市に古くから伝わる伝統の祭り「あかつき祭り」にちなんだ名前です。あかつきは他の品種や果物と比較しても特に糖度が高く、甘酸適和の優良品種で、皇室に献上される最高峰の桃としても知られております。

来歴：国立果樹試験場が「白桃」×「白鳳」を交配育成した中生種であるが、「あかつき」には数多くの枝変り変異種が出回っており、品質や熟期も様々である。当社では福島県伊達市保原町において選抜された、本来の「あかつき」の食味と熟期を引き継ぎながら大玉の優良系統の穂木を使用して苗木生産している。

果実：果重は280～300g位で玉揃い良く、核割れ・裂果は殆ど無い。肉質は緻密で果汁も多く、「白鳳」より高糖度で甘味が強く微酸で、食味は極上の旨さである。

熟期：「白鳳」よりやや遅い8月中旬頃に収穫される。

This variety was created by a farmer who used to grow peaches in Fukushima Prefecture by crossing Hakuho and Hakuto peaches.
The name "Akatsuki" comes from the "Akatsuki Festival," a traditional festival that has been held in Fukushima City, Fukushima Prefecture since ancient times. The AKATSUKI has a particularly high sugar content compared to other varieties of peaches and fruits, and is known as the best peach presented to the imperial family.

History: It is a medium-grown variety bred by the National Fruit Experiment Station from a cross between "Hakuto" and "Hakuho," but there are many variants of "AKATSUKI" available, with varying quality and ripening time. We produce seedlings from scions of an excellent strain selected in Hobara-cho, Date City, Fukushima Prefecture, that inherits the eating quality and ripening time of the original AKATSUKI and produces large, large-bodied grapes.

Fruit: Fruit weight is about 280-300g, with good uniformity and almost no kernel cracking or splitting. The flesh is dense and juicy, with higher sugar content and sweetness and lower acidity than "Hakuho," and the taste is superb.

Ripening Period: The grapes are harvested around mid-August, slightly later than Hakuho.
